Old Friends Visit

We were very excited to see our old friend John. He brought his new wife Trish and son Logan to meet us. We haven't seen John in six years. So many changes! Trish is very sweet, and Logan at 4 1/2 years old is so cute and funny. I had forgotten what that age was like. I have to hand it to our friends and family that are becoming parents at our age though, it's a lot of work.

I used to worry about Jim and grandkids. I would picture the grandkids running around, saying "watch out for grumpy", but he was great with Logan. He took Logan for a tractor ride around the house and barn. Logan had a ball. I think Jim's mellowing as he gets older. He's a lot more patient than he used to be with the kids. John drove the tractor before they left. I think they both would like to move the NC. We'll see what happens.

It's New Years Eve, and we have no plans to do anything which is fine. I prefer to stay home and vegetate. Looking forward to the NEW YEAR.....

The New Year Is Amost Here

..and I can hardly wait. 2006 has been a great year here on the farm. So much has changed. Cleared fields and a new barn which is almost finished! I have moved the horses up front for the holidays (like I've had a chance to ride in all the excitement :( ). Hopefully we'll have somewhere to put some chickens by spring.

We have big plans for the house in 2007, and I know Jim would like to plant something before the year is out. If he can figure out what he wants to start with, I know it'll get done.

We'd like to see some (no, ANY) snow this year. It's been two year without a flake. Hopefully, we'll be sledding before winter is over.
